Can our products be taken by people with sorbitol intolerance?
In the case of sorbitol intolerance, we ask that you only consume our products after consulting your doctor. In general, however, the following can be said:
We do not use sorbitol itself, which is also known under the E-numbers E420, E432, E436 and E491 to E495, in our More products.
In the case of sorbitol intolerance, however, other sugar alcohols can also cause individual problems, so we recommend avoiding these for the time being and then testing them carefully for tolerance one after the other. Sugar alcohols include: Erytrhitol, xylitol, maltitol, mannitol, isomalt, lactitol. Inulin and oligofructose should also be avoided at the beginning and tolerance should be tested in an exclusion diet.
However, other sweeteners such as aspartame, acesulfame, sucralose or stevia do not normally pose a problem in the case of sorbitol intolerance and can be consumed in moderation.
We mostly use well-tolerated sweeteners in our products, but occasionally also sugar alcohols and inulin. In principle, you can find all the ingredients in our products on the relevant product page.
Here are a few examples:
Avoid -> More Protein Bars (maltitol), Chunky Flavor (inulin), Protein Pudding (inulin)
Benefit -> Zerup (acesulfame, sucralose), More Clear/ More Protein (sucralose, stevia), Skin Structure Formula (sucralose, stevia)
The question of whether all our products can be taken with a sorbitol intolerance can therefore not be answered uniformly. These are examples, but in the end it must be considered on an individual basis and if you are unsure about individual products you should ask your doctor for advice.
